WASHINGTON, DC TRIP

June 8-9, 2022

SciPol-Detroit is visiting the US Capitol! In partnership with the WSU Office of Government and Community Affairs, our students will speak to lawmakers about funding for scientific research, maternal health issues, and funding to address health disparities.

Gain hands-on experience in the Detroit Community advocating for a variety of issues. You will advocate for each issue, but sometimes we will need to split you up based on your favorite issue, so please rank them below. Through this internship you will learn communication skills, teamwork skills, and presentation skills. We will have some special benefits for those who participate in this unique opportunity.
