Founded in July 2020, Science Policy Network-Detroit (SciPol-Detroit) aims to advocate for science and evidence-based policies, provide science communication, advocacy, and career development opportunities, encourage community efficacy, and bridge the gap between scientists, lawmakers, and the lay public.
SciPol-Detroit is a Detroit, Michigan-based organization that was created by and for scientists and students who are passionate about science communication and advocacy. We are a branch of the National Science Policy Network (NSPN), affiliate of the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), and a registered student organization at Wayne State University. Non-scientists and new members are always welcome, so get in touch with us to learn more!
