ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD ACTION GROUPS

For our founding year (2020), we decided to tackle four key environmental hazards that have detrimental effects on Detroit residents: (1) water injustices, (2) air pollution, (3) lead exposure, and (4) community and gun violence. Action groups were created for each of these issues, which culminated in a summer action group plan, which organized our members to learn about these issues and how they affect the city of Detroit and to take action to combat their negative effects. Click on each action group, below, to learn more about what was accomplished in Summer 2021.

For Summer 2022: individuals can opt into our "action group" initiative. We are not splitting into groups, but rather pushing on all four issues over the summer, depending on the most pressing issues. This will be guided by our community partners. Click the link below to sign up!
